I agree completely! I've been reading romance novels since I was twelve and I've got to tell you that in my traditional asian family with five brothers and a dad who loved to play around outside his marriage with other women, reading romances taught me better and healthier relationships than in real life! At least, until I was old enough to start experimenting on my own. I've recently watched a few episodes of Pan Am and Mad Men, and I've got to say that never before has anything on tv pissed me off more in my life! It's absolutely bullshit what 'doctors' are saying that romance novels give women an unrealistic expectation for life! Well i'm asking; what's wrong with having high expectations?

Wow, even before I read this post I was interested in your books. I love Michael Jackson, He is my most favorite artist of all time. He will always have a special place in my heart. You have a way with words. I haven't even read any of your books as yet but just from reading your blogs has me excited. The way you described how your hero would respond to the situation with his lady's boss in your blog "Men Can't Love Like Women - Unless They're Heroes in a Romance NovelMen Can't Love Like Women - Unless They're Heroes in a Romance Novel" made my heart beat just a little bit faster, made me a little light headed, and had me sighing all at once. I think I'm gonna love your books very much.
Thank you for your tribute to Micheal Jackson. May His Soul Rest In Peace now.

@Karri:

I'm so glad you enjoyed Faerie! You can't know what it means to me that you took the time to write. Thank you. I hope you take a second to rate/review it on the site where you purchased it as well.

I hope you enjoy the other books. My work has a strong POV and some people who liked Faerie responded differently to Golden and Sixth Sense. I love them all. Each story could stand alone as its own tale, although if you didn't read Faerie the presence of faeries in the other stories would be confusing!!

I do think that history is a mood and that reality is relative - it's a mood as well. Characters in my stories might say or do anything and events might shift. But the point of it all is fun - in my over the top style.

Thanks again -- and let me know what you think of the others, too!!

Just read one of your books "A Faerie Fated Forever". It was the first time traveling with you, but it was indeed the best trip I've taken in a long time. Being a owner of a vast collection of romance novels I tend to stick with authors that grab my interest from page one,and you not only did that but after keeping it through the last I was hooked. Sorry to sound jumbled but havent had much sleep due to the fact I stayed up very very late (wee hours of the morning) to finish this book.......and I'll be starting another today! I'm looking forward to all you have to offer and thank you for your wonderful work, it was a joy and I'm sure will continue to be one...lol....THANK YOU!

Shallin:

I'm so glad you "got" the book - not everyone has. I hope you do check out and enjoy some of my other books. They're, perhaps, even more over the top than Faerie - but that's my (unique) point of view!

Thanks for your kind words and if you haven't yet reviewed the book, I'd really appreciate that too. Reviews aren't always positive but they ALWAYS matter.

I just finished reading 'Fairy Fated Forever' and I was captivated from the first page. The novel was wonderfully colorful and passionate from front to back. I look forwards to reading more of your books. If they are as wonderful as this one, then, I can look forwards to more books that are almost painful to put down, but horribly exciting to pick back up.
Thank you for a book that is untaimed, wildly sensual and vibrating primal.

Great article. I agree, the lines are blurred, but in the end, it's all about the creative spirit.

@Peter: I understand that it's frustrating to see deductions from revenue, but with a traditional publisher the company would get far more of the split than the writer. At least Amazon & SW are fair with the percentages.

With Amazon, my only real issue is with the royalty split on their subsidiary, Createspace. They make it impossible for an indie author to compete in paperback.

At least we have a shot at the market with ebooks!

Thanks for the comment!!
